Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Mechanical Construction Representative to provide Engineering Support During Construction (ESDC). Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together.

Role accountabilities:
- Reviewing the progress of work on site to ensure compliance with the contract documents
- Review and sign off on submittals
- Review and witnessing of commissioning/equipment startup efforts on site, and other duties as typically required within the industry and as stipulated by project requirements
- Proactively review the contract documents to anticipate, identify, and/or prepare any change orders needed to resolve conflicts and/or recommend improvements
- Interact with installers, construction managers, and/or authorities having jurisdiction on the job sites
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in a field related to buildings engineering and/or construction management
- Demonstrated working knowledge of buildings mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, and/or fire protection), along with a working understanding of industry typical means and methods of executing this work on a construction site
- Experience as a mechanical designer/consultant is considered an asset
- Previous experience as a mechanical estimator and/or an installer in a related field is considered an asset
- A P.Eng is not required, but considered an asset
- Candidates with direct experience as part of a Construction Management firm and/or a Construction Joint Venture in the transportation sector will be given priority for this role
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interactions with stakeholders
- Valid Driver's license in good standing required

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
