Technical Writer

As a Technical Writer, you will perform a technical writing and full production of mil-spec compliant field technical manuals.

Your Challenge:

• Responsible for providing end user field manuals, as well as providing support for internal integrated logistics support (ILS) and engineering documentation, including:
• Marketing department (proposal) effort.
• Military and commercial program customer training.
• Engineering field service support.

What You Bring:

• 5 years previous technical writing experience involving electromechanical systems
• University degree or College diploma in engineering
• Quicksilver Desktop Publishing software application, or similar publisher
• Able to read schematics (electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic).
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel application skills
• Good business system experience (e.g. Oracle or similar).
• Excellent technical communication skills (oral and written)
• Comfortable working with production floor assembly and test personnel
• Adobe FrameMaker application
• Knowledge of Creo CAD System, or similar (i.e. Pro-E CAD System)
• Arbortext Epic Editor application (i.e. SGML module)
• Corel Draw Illustrator
• Full MS Office Suite
