The Partnerships and Events Consultant plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls all activities of sales, communications, and business events at the regional level to Unica external and internal business partners. This 6-month contract role is responsible for managing partnerships including partner account management, donations and sponsorships, budget administration, and competitions related to business needs.
Summary Of Role & Responsibilities
- Determine strategic and tactical directions for all communication and business event files as well as timelines.
- Develop, plan, coordinate and deploy communications by traditional means and new adopted approaches. Implement launching plans for various products.
- Manage the projects and ensure deadlines are met. Coordinate the communication and events internally and externally.
- Manage budgets, and present progress updates to the relevant stakeholders.
- Create and administer various sales support and communication tools to support the Business Development Consultants (BDCs).
- Management of donation requests and business sponsorships.
- Assist in activating existing partnerships and establishing new broker appointments.
- Monitor budgets and processes related to promotional items for the Senior Director Business Development and Broker Financial Solutions.
- Measure and consistently present results to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Work in collaboration with the Projects and Systems Solutions, Marketing and Beneva OPUS/Guidewire teams to manage and update broker accounts information, and maintain updated email communication lists.
- Participate in the innovation of business development by building relationships with external partners and other organizations.
- Actively participate in cross-sector projects and initiatives and various committees to represent the needs of the sales teams.
- Plan, organize, manage, and communicate deadlines for events and client meetings.
- Manage and promote change management communications, talent attraction and retention, skills development, mobilization, and diversity, in line with the company's values.
- Assume any other related responsibilities or responsibilities as requested by the Senior Director of Business Development and Broker Financial Solutions.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the marketing field, preferably in the financial services or property & casualty industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to analyze, plan and coordinate work.
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English language both spoken and written.
- High degree of flexibility for multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well individually or as part of a team in completing projects and task assignments.
- Proficiency with information management, reporting and tools like Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and online communications tools like Dialog Insight.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field. A Master's degree would be an asset.
- Bilingual abilities (French and English) are a strong asset.
