Job Highlights
$21.60 - $28.08 per hour!
The Assistant Store Manager is a key player on our store leadership team, supporting the Store Manager in achieving operational excellence and profitability. This role serves as a key backup to the Store Manager and supports day-to-day operations while leading and coaching teammates.
Responsibilities:
- Support the business plan by driving the achievement of Sales, Profitability, and other key objectives for the store
- Recruit, hire, coach and retain a high-performing team
- Analyze daily sales trends to make real-time strategic business decisions
- Manage payroll and schedule adjustments to maximize productivity
- Direct merchandising moves to maximize presentation and maintain brand standards
- Understand loss prevention standards and monitor store audit compliance
- Lead and/or rotate ownership of key areas such as Talent, Visuals, Operations
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- High school degree or equivalent
- 1 year of management experience, preferably in a retail environment
- Available to work 40 hours a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable with technology
- Strong communication skills
- Can stand, lift, walk, bend and lift cartons weighing up to 25 lbs. during each work shift

Purpose of Role
The Assistant Store Manager assists in driving sales goals, profitability, and other Key Performance Indicators while performing day-to-day operations. This role supports merchandising standards and delivers operational excellence while leading and coaching teammates. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager assumes their responsibilities.
Your Impact
Sales & Omni
- Supports the business plan by driving the achievement of Sales, Profitability, and other key objectives
- Enhance athlete engagement and drive achievement KPIs using technology
- Support omni-channel efforts through promotion of Apps and Social campaigns
Brand Image & Customer Experience
- Model customer service standards and selling behaviors
- Maintain brand standards of a neat, clean, and organized sales floor
Retail Operations
- Oversee daily operational procedures
- Partner with Store Manager on payroll/schedule adjustments
- Lead and support visual directives and merchandise handling
Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Communicate clear expectations for performance and behavior standards
- Drive teammate engagement and development
- Assist with the teammate lifecycle through recruitment, training, and development
Qualifications
- Advanced numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
- Fluent in local language and basic English skills
- Proficient with computers and technology
- Knowledgeable of employment laws and compliance
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a retail environment
- One year of retail supervisory experience
- High School education or equivalent
- Availability for a flexible schedule
Physical Requirements
- Ability to handle or relocate products up to 25 lbs.
- Able to stand and move for extended periods
