Position Summary: This position is responsible for preventative maintenance activities, changeovers, volume conversions, break-down troubleshooting, and improvement projects in a high-paced flexible packaging environment. The role supports our night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Shift: Night, 12 hours continental

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow safety procedures, utilize appropriate safety equipment and PPE at all times.
  • Perform work according to health and safety standards, rules, and regulations of the facility.
  • Read diagrams/schematics and maintenance manuals for work procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures.
  • Repair and maintain high-speed packaging equipment, including dismantling and assembling mechanical and electrical components.
  • Maintain, repair, and reassemble production equipment like pumps, pasteurizers, and valves.
  • Perform maintenance on support equipment including boilers and air-compressors.
  • Communicate with various parties during shift changeovers.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance as per the PM program, including lubrication and adjustments.
  • Participate in maintenance improvement projects as required.
  • Create work orders and manage parts using the SAP platform.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the Maintenance shop and parts washing area.
  • Conduct routine lubrication for all equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 - 3 years of maintenance experience in the food industry.
  • Experience with Tetra Pak equipment and aseptic food processing is an asset.
  • Experience with high-speed flexible packaging equipment is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in a diverse atmosphere.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-skilled, rotating shift environment.
  • Commitment to personnel and product safety.
