PositionSummary

As a Material Planner, you will support the execution of the master production schedule through the planning of materials for a cGMP cell and gene therapy (CGT) manufacturing facility. Interacting with procurement, project managers, department managers, Legal, client personnel, and accounts payable to ensure that the Material Resource Planning (MRP) activities are handled in a timely manner, in order to achieve the fulfillment goals of the organization . The person in this role will be a part of a high-performing team focused on supply chain and logistics projects adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The location of this position is at OmniaBio’s Hamilton, Ontario, facility.This position is site-based, with work hours adhering to support a facility that operations 24/7/365.

Responsibilities

• Follows OmniaBio’s policies, standard operating procedures and GMP documentation, and adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDP’s).
• Collaborate with all teams (QA, QC, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Accounts Payable, etc.) to ensure that materials are in place in support of all schedules (QC review, QA release, production and development).
• Resolve capacity, supply, and demand issues while optimizing resources.
• Coordinate with teams to align production schedules with customer needs, including raw materials and labor.
• Communicate and coordinate schedules for raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products across teams.
• Participate in inventory management activities, manage safety stock, and report variances.
• Utilizes the SAP enterprise resource planning system as well as other industry methodologies to support supply chain activities.
• Adopts the OmniaBio Operating Model (OBOM) and embraces a continuous improvement approach to all work activities.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• University Degree in Business/Supply Chain or similar field of study
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills
• Prior MRP work in an ERP and other resource planning tools such as SAP are a plus
• Experience working with manufacturing teams
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Experience of scenario planning
