About The Team
The Largest Multi-Purpose Marine Terminal on the West Coast of North America. Located in the Greater Vancouver Area of Surrey, BC, DP World Fraser Surrey is the largest modern, multi-purpose marine terminal on the West Coast of North America. Since 1962, our terminal has been serving the need of our customers with our variety of services including container, breakbulk, project cargo, forest products and bulk. We are only a 2-hour vessel transit from Pacific Ocean access and have excellent proximity to highways, railways and industrial areas. Located just 25 KM from the US border and with 50,000 feet of rail our terminal is an efficient rail and road solution in the Vancouver gateway. Combined with our six berths we are an exceptional choice for North American Market access.

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Operations team to achieve operational targets including paperwork, data entry and reporting.
In This Role, You Will
- Monitor and track performance to budgeted goals and/or targets established for the department.
- Provide KPI results to management on a daily basis.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for container yard by providing productivity targets, associated manning requirements and improvements.
- Initiate discussions with employees who are in breach of company policies and communicate breaches of policy to the Superintendent on duty for resolution.
- Identify and resolve any customer issues that are related to the specific operations.
- Promote positive relationships with our labour workforce, by meeting with them on a daily basis.
- This position may require shift work which is subject to change with notice based on business needs.
- A degree in business, logistics or similar field is preferred.
- Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills, with attention to detail so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, and the proven ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
- Proven ability to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for achieving desired results.
- Motivation and the capability of working on own your initiative while contributing to the team.
- Fluent in English.
- Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries.
