The Delivery Driver is responsible for reliably transporting medication and medical supplies in a safe and timely manner from the facility to medical clinics and to clients across Ontario. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for dedicated weekly delivery routes and will pick up and drop off items at scheduled times each day, and providing excellent customer service when interacting with clinic staff and customers and putting medication away at clinics. Since they are the face of Sentrex Health Solutions, it crucial to be reliable, responsible, and professional and be in uniform at all times. In some cases, there are emergency or rush orders that need to be picked up and delivered on an ad hoc basis. The Delivery Driver will work as part of the pharmacy team in order to ensure that orders are complete, and safely delivered to the correct client on time. The Delivery Driver will also assist on occasion with pharmacy or warehouse duties as assigned by management. A Day in the Life (What you will do here):
- Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients in a safe, timely manner.
- Utilizing Driver App to ensure all shipments are loaded correctly at the beginning of the route and delivered in full at each location
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete and the customer is satisfied.
- Loading and unloading items from vehicles – ensuring “White Glove” service at each delivery location
- Unpacking delivery boxes and putting items away at client sites as required – taking away all empties and delivery material
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling questions or requests from clients.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Ensuring that your vehicle is kept in a clean manner at all times
- Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks and delivery vans.
- Assist pharmacy staff with general housekeeping, and other pharmacy/warehouse duties as assigned.
- Maintain consistent communication with management during your route and provide updates as required.
- Responsible to ensure that all packages on your route is loaded into your vehicle at the beginning of your shift and all deliveries are completed in full at each stop by ensuring that each delivery container is confirmed to be empty prior to leaving delivery location
- Clean out your coolers and ice packs at the end of your shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Delivery Driver (Preferred)
- Valid driver's license (Class G) in Ontario
- Must have a clean driving record
- Experience driving delivery van or truck is an asset.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Ability to drive for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Experience delivering to and from medical clinics or pharmacies is a strong asset
- Ability to drive for extended periods (ie. regions of Windsor and/or Ottawa, there and back in the same day.)
- Must be bondable and insurable and complete a criminal background check
- Your commitment to providing a high level of service to your internal and external clients.
- You are highly adaptable with a track record of success during times of growth and organizational change.
- You have a proven track record of developing trust and influence at multiple levels.
- You demonstrate an impactful and candid communication style.
