To achieve this, we have developed The Globe Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.
We have now completed our pivotal clinical study and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.
Reporting to the VP Talent, the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing and executing a strategic approach to attract, recruit, and retain top talent that aligns with Kardium’s growth and culture. This leader will drive innovative sourcing strategies, ensure a best-in-class candidate experience, and build a robust talent pipeline to support Kardium’s long-term goals.
Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
The total cash we’ve listed for this position includes a base salary, plus a contribution to a Registered Retirement Savings plans (RRSP) to help support your financial goals.
Comprehensive medical & dental coverage for all permanent employees – effective as of Day 1, with no waiting period.
Work-day flexibility – additionally, we provide 3 personal days per year.
Support for you (and your dependents) overall well-being.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to forecast hiring needs based on business goals.
- Build and manage employer branding initiatives to enhance Kardium’s reputation as an employer of choice.
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Create and maintain metrics to assess recruitment effectiveness and optimize processes.
- Partner with department leaders to ensure alignment of recruitment efforts with business needs.
- Lead and mentor a team of Talent Acquisition Advisors & Coordinators.
- Establish performance goals and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the Talent Acquisition function.
- Evaluate and implement advanced recruiting technologies and tools to streamline processes.
- Leverage data analytics to drive decision-making and improve talent acquisition outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Oversee the representation of Kardium at job fairs, industry events, and professional networking events.

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role, with demonstrated ability to set strategic vision and lead teams through periods of rapid growth.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale recruitment efforts in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with employer branding.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and recruiting tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and create actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities.

- $140,000-160,000 (CAD Annually)
