Your primary responsibilities will include:
As a CPA Student, you will be assigned to a general practice team and be given exposure to all aspects of client service work including assurance, accounting and tax engagements. These teams work with companies in various industries by developing strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their business opportunities and challenges. Team members work on multiple engagements each year, including several pieces of any particular assignment - not just one part. Working in a mutually respectful team environment helps our teams perform at their best and integrate their career with their personal life.

Standard Hours per Week
Jan-June - 40 hrs
July-Aug - 35 hrs
Sept - Dec - 37.5 hrs
We are targeting a May or September start date.

Duties will include:
- assisting in financial statement preparation of compilations and review engagements for small to medium sized businesses,
- preparation of personal and corporate tax returns,
- participating in audits of various institutional and non-profit organizations,
- performing other related accounting functions.
A successful candidate will have:
- University degree, Accounting or Management major
- Experience with computer software such as; Quickbooks, Caseware, Spreadsheets(Excel) and with Tax Programs (Tax Prep) is an asset.
- Public accounting experience is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and an ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Strong understanding of a client-focused environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines.
- Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
