The Travelers Canada Internship Program provides qualified students with an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience, receive valuable on-the-job training and learn more about the property & casualty insurance industry. What is the Opportunity?

The Travelers Intern program provides qualified candidates an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand business experience. As a Property Claim intern/co-op, you will receive valuable on-the-job training such as:

  • Claim Handling Fundamentals
  • Understanding Property Insurance Coverage
  • Utilizing Claim Handling Software: Guidewire Claim Center
  • Introduction to Property Damage Estimating Software: Xactimate

What Will You Do?

Internship/Co-op Highlights include:

  • Complete challenging and meaningful work
  • Learn about the insurance industry, different lines of business, interact with a variety of talented leaders from the organization and more!
  • Learn and understand effective strategies for property claim handling.
  • Develop knowledge of property insurance coverage, claim handling software, and property damage estimating software.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • We are most interested in students who are serious about entering the insurance industry and who are excited about the prospect of making Claim a future career choice.
  • Preferred areas of study include Business Administration, Risk Management, and Insurance
  • Undergraduate students completing their 3rd or 4th year preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills

What is a Must Have?

  • Must be pursuing post-secondary degree or diploma.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
