We are currently looking for a person with a strong background in industrial chemicals to join our sales team as an Account Manager! In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing key client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth part of our Industrial Chemicals group!

Under the leadership of the Sales Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with strategic and important customers within the industrial chemicals market. This role involves developing a deep understanding of the customer’s business, identifying opportunities for growth, and ensuring the company’s products and services meet the client’s needs. Overseeing a territory in the Edmonton region, the selected candidate acts as a liaison between the customer and the company, coordinating with internal teams to deliver superior customer service and support.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Account Manager in our Industrial Chemicals division?

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at assigned accounts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively
  • Conduct regular meetings and business reviews with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement and growth
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and through strategic prospecting.
  • Develop and implement account plans to achieve sales targets and objectives
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the customer’s business, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Provide insights and recommendations to internal teams regarding market trends, customer needs, and potential opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to tailor solutions that meet customer requirements
  • Work closely with internal teams, including production, logistics, and technical support, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services
  • Coordinate with our customers R&D team to address customer-specific needs and develop customized solutions
  • Facilitate communication between the customer and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Monitor account performance and provide regular reports to management on sales progress, account activities, and market conditions
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, track performance metrics, and develop strategies for improvement
  • Ensure all activities comply with Quadra Core Values, industry regulations, and ethical standards
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting the chemical industry

What are the main qualifications required to have success in this position?:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably in a chemical focused environment and industry
  • Strong understanding of chemical products, processes, and industry regulations. Experience with HI&I products / industry would be considered a strong asset
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing key accounts (B2B)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in using Office tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software like Salesforce, will facilitate effective communication, data analysis, and reporting
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of your working time in the assigned territory
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and passport
