Software QA Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and independent Software QA Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in automation testing using C# and the .NET Framework, experience working in an Extreme Programming (XP) environment, and proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman. Should have a deep understanding of the Agile Sprint framework, possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate a strong learning ability, and be proficient in manual testing. If you are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about delivering high-quality software, we want to hear from you.

The Successful Candidate’s Responsibilities Will Include

• Develop and execute manual and automated test plans to ensure product quality.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts using C# and the .NET Framework.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Extreme Programming (XP) setting, including developers, designers, and product managers.
• Conduct comprehensive API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
• Participate actively in Agile Sprints, contributing to daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Perform exploratory testing and provide detailed, well-documented bug reports.
• Research and identify the root causes of software issues, working alongside developers to resolve them.
• Continuously improve testing strategies and processes to ensure efficiency and scalability.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to address project requirements and challenges.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have

Technical Skills:

• Certificate in Quality Assurance or Technologist's Diploma or a satisfactory mix of education and practical experience
• Strong experience with manual testing of web and desktop applications.
• Proficiency in automation testing, including writing scripts in C#.
• Familiarity with the .NET Framework and related tools.
• Expertise in API testing using tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Extreme Programming (XP) practices and principles.
• Understanding of the Agile development methodology and Sprint framework.
• Ability to analyze logs and debug issues across multiple layers (frontend/backend).
  
  

Soft Skills:

• Strong research and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
• Independent and self-driven, capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Quick learner, adaptable to new tools, technologies, and processes.
  
  

Bonus Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with other testing tools or frameworks like Selenium, SpecFlow, or NUnit.
• Understanding of performance or load testing.
