The team at Dr. Randy Berger Oral Surgery located in Regina, Saskatchewan are looking for a passionate, hard-working Registered Nurse on a casual basis.

The ideal Registered Nurse for our team will be highly motivated to provide safe care and treatment for Recovery Room patients before, during and after surgery.

Dr Randy Berger’s Oral Surgery team has been providing oral surgery to Regina and the surrounding communities for over 40 years. We recently welcomed Dr Meena Bhatti to our practice and are currently looking for an experienced registered nurse to work with her for 1 week per month.

SCHEDULE:

• 40 hours per week (one week per month, some months two weeks per month)
• Monday- Friday 6:30am- 2:30pm
  
  

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Currently registered with The College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
• Must have passed the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE) or The National Council Licensure Examination – Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN)
• Pre-operative chart review, pre operative review of allergies and medical concerns, connecting ECG, ETCO2, blood pressure & pulse oxymetry monitors, starting intravenous lines lines, intr-operative patient monitoring and charting, post operative patient monitoring and post operative instructions prior to discharge, managing the emergency drugs regarding expiry dates and re-ordering, running the daily diagnostic text of the lifepak monitor and defibrillator, be prepared to perform necessary duties in an emergency such as CPR, IV line, administer drugs, manage a patient airway, use a lifepak monitor defibrillator, be familiar with and trained in ACLS (PALS is not required)

• 8-10 year of experience is preferred
• Premium hourly rate to be paid for all shifts
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
