Summary
As a Food Truck Builder, you will be responsible for the complete construction and customization of food trucks, including custom fabrication, installation of kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards and local regulations.

Paramount Service Ltd. began as Paramount Restaurant Service Ltd. over 25 years ago. Since then, the company has evolved into a full-service equipment supply and facility maintenance company based from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Our presence is focused in South West Ontario & North West Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan but we have strong partnerships spanning coast-to-coast-to-coast across Canada. As part of our full-service commitment throughout the country, we employ refrigerationber, HVAC, plumbing and electrical journeymen, handymen, general labourers and we have over 600 subcontractors at our disposal. Our customer relationships are based on our performance and built on trust. As a result, our customers ask us if we can do more, and we do. From general contracting to minor service calls, landscape and parking lot maintenance, to hot and cold beverage services, equipment sales to preventative maintenance – we do it all.
As a Food Truck Builder, you will be responsible for the complete construction and customization of food trucks, including custom fabrication, installation of kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Fabrication:
- Collaborate with design teams to translate food truck concepts into detailed blueprints and layouts.
- Fabricate custom components like cabinetry, countertops, shelving, and food service stations using various materials (steel, aluminum, wood).
- Utilize welding techniques to assemble and secure structural components of the food truck.
- Install and properly secure commercial kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, ovens, grills, fryers, and sinks.
- Ensure proper placement and functionality of equipment according to food safety guidelines.
- Run necessary plumbing lines for sinks and appliances.
- Install electrical wiring, outlets, and lighting systems within the food truck.
- Connect and test electrical appliances to ensure proper functioning.
- Modify the exterior of the truck chassis with custom body panels, graphics, and branding.
- Install windows and access doors for service and customer interaction.
- Adhere to all local health and safety regulations regarding food truck construction.
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed builds to ensure quality and functionality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Proven experience in metal fabrication, welding, and carpentry skills.
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and proper installation procedures.
- Understanding of electrical wiring and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in custom vehicle modification or food truck construction.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
