Working closely with the Finance Department (team of 5) and under the direction of the Finance Manager, the Accountant will serve as the second-in-command, responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including the following:

Duties And Responsibilities
Working closely with the Finance Department (team of 5) and under the direction of the Finance Manager, the Accountant will serve as the second-in-command, responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including the following:
- Oversee cash flow and daily cash transactions including reconciling all bank accounts
- Assist in month end reporting including financial statement preparation, analyzing data, and performing account reconciliations for month-end close.
- Handle AR collections by following up with clients and collaborating with partners to manage their clients’ ARs.
- Prepare quarterly and monthly reporting for associates.
- Assist with payroll review and reporting
- Act as a key point of contact and mentor for the Finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure team goals are met.
- Help to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance financial discipline and maturity
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial laws
- Assist with the billing cycle as required
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Professional accounting designation or in progress
- Full cycle accounting experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a team, and to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset
