We are hiring immediately a highly motivated Operations Excellence Leader- a role that is critical in making sure our customers get the electricity, heating and cooling they need.
The Operations Excellence Leader is a key member of the Canadian Operations leadership team, focused on shaping the operations strategy and tactics to deliver improved customer experience, operational efficiency and expert people.
This role is expected to recommend and lead the process, system and changes to our ways of working required to deliver the strategy effectively. This role will own and lead a strategy designed to maximize equipment quality and reliability in NAM. Also, to collaborate and represent NAM’s objectives on a global level

- Manage the output of the Service & Repair Centre to the defined quality, delivery & cost targets and to the defined Best Operating Practices and ISO procedures.
- Ensure the completion of repairs and overhauls on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets
- Ensure that all fleet assets, including third party purchases, are supported by Standard Work Instructions with Standard Times for all planned activities, Service & Operations Manuals, Bills of Materials and recommended spares holding levels.
- Develop, publish and improve Key Performance Indicators
- Define and implement re-manufacturing strategy in hubs/sites to define quality standards, working closely with the regions.
- Responsible for the disposal of Fixed Assets through sales or scrap upon end of life of units or in the event of non-standard or non-moving fleet items.
- Responsible for the serialized Physical Assets Verification (twice yearly) exercises and ensures consistency of data in Movex and fixed asset registers.
- Drive HSE issues through high personal involvement and visibility.
- Develop strong working relationships and good communications with stakeholders
- Audit and make recommendations that will ensure that all facilities are operated and maintained in line with the Company’s Global Service Centre Management Standards
- Ensure adherence to safety practices and quality standards
- Develop strong working relationships and good communications with stakeholders
- 5-7 years of operations leadership multiple service locations
- Bachelor’s/Advanced degree in business or engineering or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated success in working with service centers, fleet assets, completion of repairs
- Demonstrated leadership skills - Including coaching and development, performance management, setting common goals and creating a vision, leading change, advocating Diversity and Inclusivity, managing the team’s physical safety and mental well-being
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Lean leadership with demonstrated knowledge and implementation of lean processes and tools
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- 40 to 60% travel
