Responsibilities
The Department of Medicine (DOM) seeks a detail-oriented and statistically adept Statistical Analyst to assist Department of Medicine researchers in designing experimental surveys and clinical studies, determining sample size calculations, and performing quantitative data analysis. The successful candidate should be able to provide direction and support to DOM researchers in survey design, developing analysis plans, managing, cleaning and transforming data, and generating descriptive statistics. The incumbent will also assist researchers with interpreting results and translating findings into appropriate formats for presentations and publications.
Qualifications
Education:
- PhD in statistics or biostatistics or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- 3 years' working experience in a related academic research environment
- Experience with tools like SAS, Stat, SQL, R, MS Office Suite, SPSS
Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
- Ability to manage numerical data and perform statistical analysis
- Ability to present results clearly
- Ability to prioritize projects with competing deadlines
- Communication skills to describe concepts effectively
- Must be able to travel between Hospitals, University and Research Institute sites within London
- May occasionally need to work outside regular business hours
