The Position: Accounts Receivable Administrator, 14 Month Contract (Full Time)
As Accounts Receivable Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of Accounts Receivable in a high transaction volume environment. Interacting regularly with Management, external and internal customers, you will integrate process solutions that meet the organization’s goals both financially and operationally.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain funders/clients in ERP System (Sage Intacct).
- Ensure accurate and timely generation of invoices in Sage Intacct in accordance with approved budget and authorization policy.
- Manage pre-authorized withdrawals and create related journal entries in Sage Intacct.
- Review all deposits in RBC Express, collect backup and create related journal entries in Sage Intacct.
- Deposit cash/cheques into the agency account at a minimum of once per week.
- Investigate and resolve any irregularities or enquiries.
- Ensure timely and accurate close of AR sub-ledger, including reconciliation to the sub-ledger and preparation of input for monthly accrual.
- Run monthly AR Aging Report and collect outstanding invoices.
- Act as a liaison between departments and funders in the resolution of payment-related inquiries.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and create adjusting entries as required.
- Maintain accounts receivable files and records.
- Assist in general financial management and analysis.
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills Expectations
- An Accounting Diploma or equivalent with a minimum 3-years Full Cycle Accounts Receivable experience.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of general accounting concepts and standards and regulations pertaining to the role.
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct and Certify would be an asset.
- Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail while working on tight timelines or multi-tasking.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining efficiency and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.
- Clear Criminal Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Welfare Intervention Check (dated within the last 6 months. *We can assist with this upon hire)
Reporting Relationship:
This position directly reports to Senior Accountant.
