Job Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist, reporting to the Manager of Attraction, Recruitment and Hiring will champion the Employer of Choice Brand and be the face of the organization within their assigned Divisions of WEINS Auto Group, executing the organizations talent strategies and achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; and advising managers.

You are participative and compassionate professional who will be a part of a team of likeminded individuals who specialize Attraction and Recruitment, HR and Health & Safety, Associate Engagement, Training and Performance Management.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work between the corporate office and their assigned divisions. An overview of the accountabilities, and responsibilities have been broken into three areas, People & Culture, Teamwork and Collaboration and Reporting.

Responsibilities

Part 1: People and Culture

  • Fulfills recruiting requirements as established for each of their assigned divisions.
  • Builds applicant sources through research and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements on job sites.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; conducting training.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Part 2: Teamwork and Collaboration

  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules;
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.

Part 3: Reporting

  • Provides regular reporting on status of positions to Manager Attraction, Recruitment and Hiring

Skills

  • Experienced in all transactional Talent Attraction related processes.

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of progressive Talent Acquisition Experience with some experience in a multi location environment.
  • Degree/Certificate Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Travel required – Ontario (GTA area)
  • Experience working with an HCM software.

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual location or a representation of locations in that city or area.
