Graphic Designer

Our client is searching for a Graphic Designer to join their team. This role will be responsible for efficiently assist with the production of campaign assets, marketing materials, event signage, and logistical support for various initiatives throughout the year. A successful candidate will be comfortable working a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and have a balance of graphic design skills, production and hands-on event experience. This role is located in Athabasca, so candidates will either be from the town or willing to commute.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Support the Marketing Assistant in the creation and resizing of digital and print ad assets for advertising campaigns, including display advertisements, video, social media, and magazine advertisements
• Assist in the creation of various project and event signage, banners, and layouts for various media (print, digital, large-scale, promotional materials).
• Support the Marketing Assistant in layout design, wayfinding, pricing signage, promotional materials and even branding assets, visual merchandising, and organizing duties for the companies virtual and on-site store
• Work under the Marketing Assistant’s direction to produce high-volume ad variations efficiently while maintaining brand consistency and standards
• Assist in marketing event set up, takedown, and logistics, including receiving freight, lifting and moving materials and mail coordination
• Assist the Marketing Assistant in vendor relations and merchandise coordination
• Other administrative duties as assigned
  
  

Your strengths include:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity suite
• Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, and branding guidelines
• Understanding of file formats, resolutions, and optimization for different media platforms
• Comfortable with manual labour, including loading and unloading event items
• Strong attention to detail for organizing and tracking event materials
• Comfortable working under tight deadlines and adjusting plans as needed
