Provides clinical training and support to customers, as a subject matter expert in dosimetry and radiation therapy, on-site and/or remotely to ensure customer is prepared to operate their equipment according to a minimum of safe and effective use guidelines and to fully utilize the complex functionality of the technology to meet their business needs.

This is a travelling position for a Canadian candidate. Travel will be across all of Canada and the United States.

Job Description

  • Deliver comprehensive on-site and remote training sessions to customers, ensuring they are well-prepared to operate Varian Medical System equipment in accordance with safety and effectiveness guidelines.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions through both in-person and virtual platforms.
  • Tailor training sessions to accommodate diverse learning styles and skill levels, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Manage customer expectations, providing support to address any clinical concerns and optimize equipment utilization.
  • Provide timely feedback on competitive product performance, contributing valuable insights to headquarters, marketing, and engineering teams.
  • Coordinate and lead customer and employee training courses, demonstrating expertise in clinical applications.
  • Conduct engaging large group presentations at seminars, training programs, and trade shows.
  • Provide demo support at local, regional, and national customer trade events, showcasing Varian Medical Systems' capabilities.
  • Formulate complementary support training materials, including quick tips, workbooks, video-media, and implementation guides.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to optimize customer relations and provide the best possible services.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address customer needs and enhance the overall customer experience.

Minimum Required Skills And Knowledge

  • Clinical understanding of the processes in a radiation oncology department.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Flexibility to adapt training approaches based on the diverse needs of the audience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Exemplary communication skills (listening, verbal, written).
  • Adaptable, positive, and open to new ideas and/or situations.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Enthusiastic learner who is eager to meet challenges and quickly assimilate new concepts.
  • Successful applicant must also live in Canada with travel requirements up to 75%, and intermittent weekends.
  • Typical Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Minimum of 5 years clinical experience or equivalent 3 years in position. Credentials by specific professional role: Radiation Therapist – CAMRT
  • French/English Competency preferred.
  • Valid Passport Required.
  • Must be able to travel regularly.
  • Requirement to travel into the US and must meet US Border Services requirement.
  • Valid Drivers License Required.
