Production Operator

Overview

The Production employee will perform tasks to ensure production line is operational and quality end product is delivered on time to the customer. Individual is a key player for plant efficiency by operating production line, inspection of products and packaging throughout the facility. Production Operator will take pride in their safety mindset, attention to quality and excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Job duties vary by area of assignment (Extrusion, Beaming, Weaving, Finishing and Reprocessing).
• Responsible for overall operation of assigned production equipment and/or process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing is considered an asset.
• Experience with shift work is considered an asset.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

COMPETENCIES:

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Fluent in the English language.
• Strong communication skills

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Basic computer skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic mathematical skills.

REASONING & OTHER ABILITIES

• Strong mechanical reasoning.
• Ability to troubleshoot, multi-task and prioritize effectively.

• Strong attendance record.
