Trouw Nutrition is seeking a FP&A Manager who will lead the financial planning and analysis function at business unit level, supporting the development and execution of FP&A strategies to ensure high-quality financial insights that drive business performance and strategic growth.

Reporting to the FP&A Business Partner, this role will focus on budgeting, forecasting, performance management, and cost control within the Finance function.

Job Description:

Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting

  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and alignment with organizational goals and FP&A strategy.
  • Work collaboratively with OpCos and functional leaders to develop and refine financial forecasts and budgets, supporting budget ownership and accountability across the organization.
  • Partner with the FP&A Business Partner and other functional areas within finance to drive continuous improvements in financial planning processes, ensuring they align with corporate objectives and promote efficiency.

Performance Management and Reporting

  • Oversee performance management and reporting, ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent financial metrics and indicators are available to support decision-making.
  • Support the FP&A Business Partner in preparing Business Review Meetings (BRM), consolidating reports, and providing documentation for each OpCo.
  • Assist in the establishment and monitoring of a KPI Control Tower to enhance transparency and accessibility of key financial data across all levels of the organization.

Financial Analysis and Modeling

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and data modeling to inform business strategies and drive continuous performance improvement.
  • Prepare P&L analysis and deliver insights that support cost control measures, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with other finance areas to refine reporting frameworks and enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial insights.

Strategic Planning and Business Case Development

  • Support long-term strategic planning initiatives, working with cross-functional teams to develop and evaluate business cases that align with the company’s growth and profitability objectives.
  • Conduct impact analyses on proposed strategies to ensure that all financial implications are clearly defined and quantified.
  • Work closely with senior management to align financial strategies with business goals, providing critical insights to inform decision-making.

Cost Management and Operational Efficiency

  • Implement and monitor OPEX and cost control measures to maintain expense management aligned with the company’s financial goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Procurement & Costing, to drive operational efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Partner with business leaders to establish best practices and benchmarks that support cost-efficiency and operational excellence.

Skills And Expertise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in a Finance or equivalent experience
  • At least 6 - 8+ years of strong finance experience in the manufacturing operations, production environment

Expectation from the Role:

  • Collaborating closely with other key departments, including Operations & Supply Chain, Commercial & Marketing, and Procurement & Costing, the FP&A Manager will be instrumental in advancing both short- and long-term financial planning.

This is a hybrid job and will require few days of reporting to our office in Guelph, Ontario
