Dimensions

This position will report to the Underground Mobile Maintenance Supervisor.

Purpose

The successful applicant must be competent in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining underground mobile equipment. Performing work on structural, mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.

Essential Duties

• Responsible for troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance on underground mobile equipment
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturer’s specifications
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work of equipment
• Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches and side booms
• Responsible for compliance with OHSA, Corporate and Porcupine Environmental Regulations, Safety and Sustainability Standards
• Responsible to work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals both within the department and cross-department
• Must be highly motivated, organized and must be capable of decision-making
• Responsible for providing own tools
• Assisting in other works areas may be required
  
  

Training & Experience

• Truck and Coach Technician or Automotive Service Technician
• Must have experience maintaining underground mobile equipment including Kubotas, Polaris ATV, Toyota, Mincat.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, computer and written skills
• Must be able to organize work and self-motivate
• Must be willing to work with others
• Be technically competent
• Underground common core considered an asset.
  
  

Working Conditions

This is a site based position in Timmins, ON supporting our Hoyle Pond underground operation.

The schedule is 4 days on 3 days off.
