We are currently hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Personal Support Workers (PSW) for Community Care

Return of Service (ROS): $10,000 to recent PSW graduates in exchange for a 12-month commitment to work full-time in a long-term care home or within the community

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW:

  • Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
  • RN or RPN
  • Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
  • Valid Developmental Support Worker Certificate
  • Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle.
  • Current CPR Certificate level C
  • Current immunization record (TB test completed within the past 12 months) is required upon hire
  • Current vulnerable sector check screening is required upon hire
  • Current Standard CPR level C certificate and FA if applicable
  • Availability to work days OR evenings; including weekends
  • This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting up to approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement

To be eligible for the PSW ROS, a Personal Support Worker must:

  • Successfully completed an Ontario PSW training program on or after April 1, 2023, at a public-assisted college, private career college, district school board or Indigenous Institute that meets the 2022 program standard established by the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities
  • Begin employment with a participating employer between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2026; and
  • Commit to 12 months of employment at a full-time work schedule
