Finance Manager

Our esteemed client is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting functions of the organization. This role involves FP&A, compliance and controls, and ERP implementation support.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Record all required month end entries
• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST Reporting
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform reconciliations of various accounts to maintain accurate financial records
• Maintain the chart of accounts
• Review bi-monthly payroll submission payroll
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely ASPE-compliant financial statements and monthly reporting package with variance analysis
• Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports
• Responsible for cash flow forecast
• Lead the annual budgeting process
• Lead and support ERP implementations and migration from current ERO
• Ensure organizational compliance with statutory requirements, including CRA filings (payroll remittances, GST/HST), revenue recognition
• Lead the annual financial statement review process with external auditors
• Maintain external relationships with vendors
  
  

Your strengths include:

• Bachelor’s degree and CPA designation is required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Leadership experience would be an asset
• Strong knowledge of ASPE
• Experience in SaaS companies is an asset
• ERP experience considered a plus
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, solution focused, self-starter, and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivated, self-starter with exceptional prioritization and organization skills
• Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
