Equipment Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Equipment Logistics Coordinator to manage inventory levels and support logistics operations at our Orion facility in Cold Lake, Alberta. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the availability, accuracy, and integrity of equipment and materials while collaborating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming equipment and materials to confirm quality and accuracy.
• Properly identify, record, and track inventory in the ERP system.
• Address and report any shortages, damages, or deficiencies promptly.
• Issue equipment and materials to end-users as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
• Prepare and process documentation for repairs and returns.
• Create requisitions and purchase orders to replenish low inventory levels.
• Develop and manage Min/Max inventory thresholds based on usage.
• Apply knowledge of oil and gas equipment/materials to ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation for facility needs.
• Operate forklifts and other applicable lift equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform cycle counts in alignment with company guidelines.
• Support the execution of disposal strategies for inventory and equipment.
• Collaborate closely with a variety of stakeholders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the logistics team.
  
  

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems; experience with Maximo is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas equipment, materials, and ABSA regulatory requirements.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
• Relevant safety certifications are considered an asset.
• Forklift operation experience is required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong multitasking abilities and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Positive attitude and strict adherence to safety protocols.
  
  

Work Environment

• Based at the Orion facility (30-40 km northwest of Cold Lake).
• Travel to other Strathcona facilities may be required.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, overtime, and during plant emergencies or turnarounds.
