Minimum Qualifications

• Civil technician background would be considered an asset

Day in the Life

As the QC supervisor you will start your day by reviewing the testing schedule and planning your tasks accordingly. You may coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely testing of asphalt materials. You will also responsible for over seeing a team of technicians conducting the testing at the asphalt plants. You will be relied on to provide guidance on testing procedures and ensure the team understands the responsibilities. You may participate in the collection of asphalt samples from construction sites or asphalt plants and ensuring proper sampling techniques are followed. You and your team will then spend analyzing the samples and as the supervisor you will generate reports based on your findings and subsequently communicate the results to other stakeholders. If you enjoy variety and flexibility in your daily routine, this role may be for you. It’s a great blend of in-field participation as well as administrative duties.
