As an Outside Rental Sales Representative, you will be at the forefront of our rental sales initiatives within your designated accounts or territories. Your role will be pivotal in driving new rental business and providing top-notch service to our existing clients.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Present and sell rental products and services to current and potential clients, emphasizing the benefits and features of the rental fleet.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity, focusing on rental opportunities.
- Identify rental sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and rental agreements while maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Identify and resolve client concerns related to rental services, ensuring a smooth rental experience.
- Prepare various status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to rental sales goals.
- Communicate new rental product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events, with a focus on promoting rental services.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the team and with other teams.
- Commit to continuous learning and development, particularly in the rental market.
- Minimum 3-5+ years of territory sales experience required, with a focus on rental sales.
- Excellent customer service skills and good knowledge of rental market strategies and planning.
- Ability to apply logical thinking to a wide range of problems, collect data, draw conclusions, and offer constructive opinions concerning day-to-day rental activities.
- Understanding of construction phases, job situations, and project conditions for the timing of approaching customers and rental product application suggestions.
- Knowledgeable of the entire rental fleet and able to demonstrate equipment whenever appropriate to increase customer awareness of rental offerings and applications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and basic computer operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence others, develop and deliver presentations, and create, compose, and edit written materials.
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques, with previous experience with CRM tools.
