We are in search of an Account Director. Reporting to the Vice-President, the ideal candidate will have previous agency and/or client-side experience, and proven expertise in client service and account management.

- A thinker, who possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, is a demonstrated self-starter, and is able to work both with internal teams and creative services, to create and deliver strategic, integrated marketing campaigns for clients.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as a digital-first thought leader able to manage through-the-line accounts to align integrated marketing strategies with each client’s business goals and objectives, guiding them to define and deliver against their vision.
- Create insight driven strategies—from concept to execution—working closely with the creative and account teams.
- Responsible for the successful management of client campaigns, you will serve as a link between our clients and the agency.
- Manage campaign and administrative work, and ensure that all projects are completed both on time and on budget – always.
- Forge, nurture and foster client relationships, and effectively engage and communicate with them throughout campaigns.
- Alongside agency colleagues, present the campaign idea(s) and budget to the client.
- Present digital, social and/or creative work to clients for feedback and/or approval.
- Develop budgets, manage campaign costs, and reconcile and invoice accounts.
- Write and distribute timely client reports; monitor the effectiveness of campaigns; and, undertake any/all necessary agency-related administration tasks.
- Assist with development and execution of new business pitches, along with other agency staff, to secure new business.
What we are looking for:
- Strong leadership—proven ability to lead the client, the account, and the team. These attributes and skills would include: confidence, decisiveness, timely decision-making, self-starter, integrity, persuasion, delegation, flexibility, communication, and the ability to implement strategy and execute contingency plans.
- Proven experience and competence managing digital, social, and performance campaigns.
- Proven prior work experience managing multiple accounts/clients/projects at once, with various goals, across different industries—proactively leading the team and the client deliverables to successful outcomes.
- Extraordinary problem-seeing and solutions-oriented, problem-solving capabilities.
- Considerable experience working with identifying, establishing, and monitoring metrics and analytics.
- Exceptional oral and written communication and conversational skills.
- Proven experience managing direct reports, fostering their growth and professional development.
- Proficiency in budget planning (forecasting), budget development, budget management (tracking and review), and financial reconciliations (including invoice preparation).
- Aptitude for generating organic growth for the business, through effective account management.
- 7+ years of marketing experience, preferably with an agency.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, business, communications, or equivalent professional qualifications is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Desktop Applications—including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Slack or Teams; and, strong insight into and aptitude for both digital and social optimization platforms.
