You are an energetic and knowledgeable Hockey Development pro, eager to oversee hockey-related programming and minor hockey player development initiatives. This unique role combines the responsibilities of managing hockey camps, clinics, and community outreach with an incentive-driven ticket sales component. The ideal candidate is passionate about hockey, skilled in program development, and eager to foster relationships within the hockey community.

Key Responsibilities

Hockey Development:

• Develop, manage, and execute hockey programs, including the Victoria Jr. Royals, youth camps, clinics, and school initiatives, to promote hockey development and engagement within the community.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Victoria Royals and local minor hockey associations, fostering strong relationships and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
• Attend minor hockey tournaments, events and games in evenings and weekends.
• Oversee the delivery of on-ice and off-ice hockey programming, ensuring a high-quality experience for all participants.
• Recruit, train, and manage coaching volunteers for hockey development programs.
• Work with the Royals? marketing and hockey operations team to promote hockey development initiatives across various platforms.
• Hockey operations projects as assigned (coaching, scouting, etc.).
  
  

Ticket Sales and Community Engagement:

• Collaborate with the ticket sales team to promote Royals games to hockey program participants and local hockey associations.
• Drive ticket sales through relationships built in hockey programming, with an emphasis on group sales and team outings.
• Assist in planning and executing hockey-themed game nights and other initiatives designed to attract local hockey players, teams, and families to Royals games.
• Track and report ticket sales generated through hockey development efforts to ensure sales goals are met.
  
  

Program Operations and Administration:

• Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, facility bookings, equipment, and registration.
• Manage budgets for hockey development programs, ensuring cost-effective delivery while maintaining program quality.
• Collect and analyze feedback from participants to improve programs and identify new opportunities for growth.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven success in hockey coaching, customer relations, with a preference for experience in sports-related industries.
• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Education, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience..
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with players, parents, and community stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the hockey schedule.
• Previous hockey playing experience is an asset.
