Position Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the Asylum Manager, this position is responsible for greeting and seating guests with the strictest regard to rules, regulations and outlet operational guidelines while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members This position will be performed in Asylum primarily. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Greet guests by name wherever possible
  • Seat guests in area of choice and distributes menus; advises guests of daily or weekly specials
  • Explains how various menu items or beverages are prepared (if applicable)
  • Assists with cleaning tables or counters; removes dishes and re-stocks when required
  • Performs opening or closing duties as required
  • Maintains accurate records, wait lists and reservations (if applicable)
  • Ensures table availability through communication with bussing and serving staff; maximizes seating arrangements
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education And Qualifications

  • Must be available to work every Friday and Saturday night
  • Food and beverage experience an asset
  • Serving it Right Certification
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication

Work Environment Considerations

  • Regular casino, restaurant or bar environment, standing and walking for long periods of time and non-traditional work hours
