Department Manager - General Merchandise & Fashion

Position Summary

To assist in the leadership of General Merchandise and Fashion Associates and department processes through partnership with the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and ensure a high level of customer service and task completion.

What you'll do

• Providing excellent Customer Service: Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assist customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues, and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Coordination of Task Completion: Assist in providing direction and coordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and the Store Management Team.
• Presentation Assessment: Assess the overall presentation of General Merchandise and Fashion Departments, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
• Customer Availability Process: Delegate, assist, and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks.
• Scheduling: Support with scheduling as needed.
• Task Assignment: Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
• Training Participation: Participate in the training and development of General Merchandise and Fashion Associates, providing feedback as needed.
• Work Environment Safety: Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.

Minimum Qualifications

Age – 16 or older.
