Position: Cook 1, Marcus Restaurant & Lounge
Prepare food items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner per guest orders according to production needs and quality standards, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
Main Responsibilities
Prepare food items consistently according to guest orders, following recipe cards and meeting production, portion, and presentation standards.
Complete mise en place and setup the station for meals.
Prepare food items without exceeding estimated needs.
Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment properly.
Date all food containers and rotate per policies, ensuring perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
Check pars for shifts, determine preparation needed, and manage storage of unused food items.
Assist in managing food costs and waste according to policies.
Work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors.
Assist in prep work for the next shift as required.
Execute other tasks as assigned by management.
Comply with Four Seasons’ Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
Qualifications
Culinary certification required.
Intermediate communication skills in French and English.
Culinary education or equivalent experience required.
3-5 years of culinary or related experience required.
Advanced culinary knowledge required.
Proficient in using kitchen equipment.
Knife skills and multitasking ability required.
Ability to stand for long periods and work variable hours.
