We are seeking a Junior Protection & Control in our Burnaby, BC location. The Protection, Control & Automation EIT will report to the Engineering Manager, who will provide supervision for the protection, control & automation design work.

Your Role Within the Team:

• Preparation of Protection, Control & Automation designs from conceptual to implementation stage for Transmission, Distribution, and Generating stations.
• Preparation of Protection & Control single line diagrams, DC/AC control schematics.
• Preparation of Automation architecture and designs.
• Design and development of panel layouts and bill of materials.
• Design and development of detailed wiring diagrams.
• Development of cable block diagrams and cable and conduit schedules.
• Programming of Protection, Control, and Automation devices.
• Work on reports and calculations.
• Perform site visits.
• Perform design work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver projects.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Has taken courses in Protection & Control at a University level or equivalent.
• 0-1 year of related experience in Protection & Control or equivalent.
• Is registered as an EIT with EGBC or is eligible for registration.
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Must be willing to learn new technologies and programming of devices.
