Yard Coordinator

Job Summary

The Yard Coordinator is responsible for organizing and executing daily activities in the Linamar Transportation Yard and office.

Responsibility

• Clean the interiors of commercial vehicles prior to reassignment or as needed.
• Empty garbage bins and dispose of waste in designated industrial-sized containers.
• Ensure the yard is kept clean and organized, maintaining high standards of tidiness.
• Monitor and manage traffic flow entering and exiting the yard.
• Document and log equipment damage with photographs and detailed records.
• Perform regular yard inspections, including checks at designated drop locations.
• Conduct monthly health and safety inspections of the yard, commercial vehicles, and office facilities.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Academic/Educational Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School Diploma.

Required Skills/Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in the transportation industry an asset.
• Valid AZ License an asset.
• Experience with tools and equipment necessary for yard maintenance.
• Specialized knowledge in heavy truck repair an asset.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Transportation to travel between Yard and Office.
