Join our team as a Catering Supervisor and be part of creating memorable experiences through delicious food and impeccable service. We have full-time and part-time positions open within Queen's Hospitality Services and are looking for candidates who are looking for a career in the food service industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of catering operations, including food production, delivery, and setup
  • Ensure high-quality food and service standards are met and maintained
  • Coordinate with clients to plan menus and customize catering options based on their preferences and dietary needs
  • Supervise and train catering staff, including cooks, servers, and event setup personnel
  • Maintain inventory of catering supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained
  • Monitor and enforce food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop new catering opportunities and expand the client base
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food production and kitchen management within the catering or food service industry
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques, menu planning, and food presentation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients, staff, and vendors
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Education

Minimum 1-2 years experience
