As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be part of the JAK's leadership team, helping plan, organize, and direct the retail operations of your store in collaboration with the General Manager. You will participate in scheduling, hiring, coaching, performance management, coordinating shift activities, fostering positive relationships among the team, and mediating customer requests or complaints.

The Ideal Candidate
- Proven leader with a passion for the craft beer, wine, and spirits industry
- Experience in coaching, training, managing, and scheduling
- Positive attitude with the ability to energize a team
- Effective communicator able to share knowledge
- Ultimate team player
- Ability to create a ‘wow’ experience for guests and coach others to do the same
- Embodies the JAK’S values of Caring, Learning, Integrity, Hospitality
- Wine Knowledge of WSET 2 or WSET 3 is considered an asset
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure JAK'S brand promises are consistently delivered: Unique product selection, outstanding service, unmatched in-store experience
- Facilitate a fun work environment by bringing fun energy to work
- Lead and manage a team of customer service/sales specialists
- Provide training, mentoring, and coaching to develop the team
- Ensure all JAK'S standards are met and exceeded
- Participate in the hiring process with the store manager or Director of Human Performance
- Communicate and achieve budgeted key performance indicators within the team
- Create and implement customer-focused business strategies
