The Night Front Desk Agent will contribute to the overall success of the Hotel by anticipating guest needs and providing friendly, efficient, and superior customer service during all guest interactions. The position is responsible for maintaining a positive work environment at the front desk while maintaining high internal & external guest service standards at all times, during an overnight shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Greets arriving guests and follows established check-in procedures
  • Reviews daily arrivals list and checks VIP notes and other special guest requests
  • Provides check-out services to departing guests, ensures that all accounts and payments are correct and posts all late charges
  • Follows Coast Hotels cash handling policies accurately
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the hotel’s immediate area and local attractions
  • Communicates frequently with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other hotel departments
  • Assists guest in foreign currency exchange transactions
  • Follows set procedures with great detail
  • Completes shift updates and cash-out procedures accurately
  • Informs and updates the Front Office Manager on all guest related issues
  • Carries out night audit responsibilities when required
  • Other duties as required

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in similar position preferred
  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hospitality, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Superior communication skills in English, both verbal and written required, with working knowledge of a second language a definite asset
  • Able to perform well under pressure
  • Self-motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-functional team environment
  • Demonstrates superior customer service skills
  • Exemplifies Coast’s core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability
  • Able to work evening and overnight shifts including those on weekends and holidays
