Grade 10-12 Humanities Teacher

DESK/Elev8 is looking for a 0.6 FTE term teacher to join our high functioning team. School District #8 (Kootenay Lake) is located in the southern Interior of British Columbia, Canada and serves the Lower Kootenay Band and the communities of Kaslo, Meadow Creek, Crawford Bay, Creston, Wynndel, Yahk, Nelson, Salmo, South Slocan, Winlaw, Slocan, and the surrounding rural areas. Our schools are dispersed geographically and range in size and composition:- 13 elementary schools- 1 middle school- 1 K-10 school- 4 secondary schools- 2 K-12 schools- online learning and blended programs- an extensive array of program options, including Aboriginal Education, Late French Immersion, Outdoor Programs, and a strong International Program.The annual pay range for a full time teacher is $63,367 - $111,488, with placement on the range based on experience and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

The awarded applicant will have experience teaching in an on-line environment as all courses are online. This position is for primarily online grade 10 English courses, but various other grade 10-12 humanities courses may be included. Knowledge of the Brightspace D2L teaching platform is an asset.
