FullStack Developer

Location: Longueuil, QC—Possibility to work from home

mdf commerce Inc. is an international team of approximately 650 experts who develop a broad set of SaaS solutions to optimize and accelerate commercial interactions of its B2B and B2G customers.

Working in the GovTech sector for our new brand SOVRA, we seek a FullStack Developer to join our team. As such, the FullStack Developer will be proficient in all aspects of software development, including implementing requirements, generating documentation, unit testing, troubleshooting, packaging and deploying solutions.

What will your main responsibilities look like?

In This Role, You Will Be Led To

• Deliver quality software. You’ll have end-to-end ownership of what you build, from initial requirements reviews and architecture to development and testing.
• Understand, comply with and enforce development standards to ensure consistency across the more significant development team.
• Be passionate about ensuring quality through solid test coverage for your code and by performing solid code reviews.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure specifications are being met
• Remain knowledgeable of emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to operations and activities.
  
  

What elements of your professional background will be necessary and valuable in this role?

• Above all, must have a good attitude, be a team player, and have a strong work ethic.
• Aptitude for analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Well-versed in modern architecture and software design
• Object-oriented programming knowledge
• Proficiency with languages such as Java, Python, SQL
• Proficiency with front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, HTML, CSS and React
• Experience with the design and implementation of APIs and Microservices.
• Comfortable with large datasets, relational vs. non-relational databases, and SQL Server.
• Proficient and experienced with Git.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree.
• Excellent English language skills, both oral and written, due to frequent interactions with colleagues and partners across Canada and the United States. French speaking is an asset.
• Experience working with platforms that expose APIs and extension points for 3rd-party developers.
• An asset: Experience with e-commerce and/or retail technology products.
