As Fleet and Equipment Manager within Pomerleau's Logistics team, you will be responsible for managing a fleet of construction equipment worth $100M + in fields as varied as earthmoving, lifting, marine, drilling, deep foundations, concreting, transportation, tooling, ...You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic and qualified logistics team as well as the various stakeholders in the project teams. This fleet of equipment is distributed throughout the country and is designed to ensure the successful execution of large-scale projects.

What You Will Do

• Plan equipment renewals, new acquisitions and disposals for the Pomerleau Group to meet project needs and maintain equipment fleet performance and efficiency.
• Coordinate Fleet operations with maintenance, transportation, receiving/shipping and yard/warehouse departments to ensure timely delivery of equipment and inventory.
• Optimize the use of Fleet equipment by collaborating with the various players in logistics, pre-construction and projects. Advise users on Fleet's various service offerings. Monitor equipment inventories.
• Develop fleet and equipment management strategy to ensure safe, high-quality, high-performance equipment for our projects.
• Collaborate with project teams, procurement and maintenance on Fleet equipment acquisitions to meet project needs.
• Collaborate with pre-construction teams by providing advice on equipment selection and availability, as well as cost analysis of equipment and logistical operations for tendered projects.
• Supervise the equipment coordinators under his/her responsibility to ensure uniform, quality service for all our projects across the country.
• Actively participate in the improvement of business processes related to Fleet operations.
  
  

This role could be for you if you have

• DEC or bachelor's degree in mechanical asset management or other training in a field related to asset management/maintenance;
• At least 8 years' experience in a similar position;
• Solid experience in analyzing maintenance and operating costs, and in the financial management of construction equipment;
• A passion for managing a large fleet of diversified construction equipment as part of a team.

• Experience working on construction sites
• Fluency in both official languages (English and French).
