Technical Lead

Agilus is recruiting for a Technical Lead in the Financial Services Domain.

We are seeking a Solution Architect to join our team and lead the design and implementation of system changes within a complex, multi-system environment. This role will focus on integrating Salesforce, SAP, Guidewire, and other key systems, ensuring that data flows seamlessly and understanding how changes to one system can have cascading effects on others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the implementation of system changes across 3-7 integrated systems, including Salesforce, SAP, Guidewire, and other key applications that support retail sales and commissions. Understand the structure of data, objects, and relationships within core systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Guidewire) and how changes to these systems impact other systems. Work with cross-functional teams (Salesforce team, SAP team, Guidewire team, Policy Centre team) to facilitate changes related to new product introductions, sales, and commission structures. Conduct impact assessments for changes, documenting and breaking down requirements into workstreams, and identifying solution options with pros and cons. Help design solutions that ensure data flows efficiently between systems, focusing on batch work and how data is passed and transformed across multiple systems. Collaborate with development teams to ensure they understand technical requirements, and work closely with project managers to understand options and risks. Facilitate the implementation of system changes while maintaining data integrity and minimizing risks during the process. Act as a technical driver, ensuring that business rules, technical specifications, and requirements are communicated effectively to all relevant stakeholders. Understand and articulate the challenges involved in system integrations, helping teams navigate complex requirements and delivering solutions that meet business needs. Contribute to the creation of architecture diagrams and documentation that clearly illustrate system interactions and changes.
  
  

Successful Candidates Will Have

• Experience in leading the integration of multiple enterprise systems (3-7 systems), ideally with exposure to Salesforce, SAP, Guidewire, or similar systems. Strong understanding of structured data, system architecture, and how systems interconnect across an organization. Ability to work with business and technical teams to identify requirements, assess impacts, and design solutions. Familiarity with batch processes and how data flows between systems, particularly in the context of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Experience with solution design and impact assessments, with the ability to break down complex projects into actionable workstreams. Ability to act as a technical lead in cross-functional environments, communicating both technical and business needs effectively. Experience working with teams to deliver changes when new products, sales models, or commission structures are introduced. A T-shaped individual with broad technical knowledge and an ability to learn quickly and apply new skills, even if you’re not hands-on with development or Salesforce. Strong problem-solving skills and an understanding of how system changes can affect downstream processes and systems. Experience working with technical PMs and managing end-to-end solution delivery across multiple teams. Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical requirements and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

• The Solution Architect will work closely with technical teams and project managers to implement solutions, communicate technical requirements, and facilitate the delivery of system changes in support of our growing business needs, particularly in the retail sales and commissions area. The ideal candidate will be an end-to-end thinker with strong technical fundamentals but does not need to be a hands-on developer. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, helping teams understand the impacts of system changes and ensuring smooth integrations across systems.
