Human Resources Generalist

Overview:

Our client is looking for a Human Resources professional to join their team. Duties include overseeing the onboarding process of new employees, training company employees about corporate policies and procedures, and providing support to the corporate workforce.

In addition, you will be expected to be well-versed in the laws and regulations related to the hiring and firing of employees. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

• New Employee on-boarding and training, and track completion
• Answer question from employees and recording complaints
• Able to investigate complaints, do reporting, and present findings
• Implement company programs
• Entering data into HR database (Purely HR)
• Track employee attendance, and use of their vacation and sick days
• Update company policies and procedures for compliance with current regulations
• Help with providing payroll information when required

Qualifications:

• CHRP
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management
• 4+ years’ human resources experience
• 2+ years of experience onboarding new employees
• Well organized and can prioritize multiple tasks based on deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Experience working Purely HR would be an asset
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information
• Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge about conflict management
• Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
• Strong communication skills in verbal and written
