Junior Financial Analyst

Our head office in Regina is currently seeking to fill a permanent, full-time accounting position as a Junior Financial Analyst. This position will report to the assistant controller and will work closely with our accounting and finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Performing various account reconciliations including, but not limited to cash accounts, credit cards, prepaid expenses, wholesale contracts payable, inventory
• Assist with the preparation of documentation required for the external audit process
• Processing regular payments made to & from equipment financing companies, in addition to the recording of these payments in the accounting system
• Reconcile GL accounts and prepare journal entries along with supporting documentation
• Preparing monthly and annual reports for equipment financing companies
• Supporting the annual budgeting process
• Other responsibilities can include reviewing accounts payable invoices, running banking reports, gross margin analysis, preparing additional reports to be provided to various members of the management and finance team upon request, and various other projects as assigned

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles acquired through a post-secondary accounting program (diploma and/or bachelors degree)
• Working toward or completion of CPA designation
• Higher level knowledge of the Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to work effectively with different divisions across the company
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team
• The time management skills required to manage multiple tasks while meeting various deadlines
