Technical Program Manager, Applied AI, Google Cloud Platform

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.
The Google Cloud Applied AI team is working on incorporating new AI into the next generation of Contact Center AI solutions and products such as Agent Assist. This work builds upon an already robust product line and will help enterprise customers enhance the chatbot and virtual agent experiences. This work is a core part of the Applied AI strategy to enhance our AI products and platforms to meet the demand of the market.
In this role, you will work with a large cross-functional team of product managers, developers, and multitude of cross-functional teams to navigate the complex landscape of processes, deadlines, and technologies. You will be a key partner for your peers as the organization works to deliver a cohesive generative AI ecosystem to our customers.

Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in product, developing, operations, or technical consulting roles.
- 5 years of experience in leadership roles with/without direct reports.
- 4 years of experience managing projects.
- 8 years project management experience working with large-scale developing teams spread across multiple geographies and time zones.
- 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience managing multiple complex day-to-day workstreams with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to ensure stakeholder alignment across key milestones and deliverables.

Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of programs and delivery of associated Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the portfolio, and manage a high amount of rapid and planning changes with ease.
- Collaborate with Software Developers, Product Managers, and cross-functional groups to drive software development, and manage technical dependencies across the stack.
- Define, continuously refine, and execute processes for gathering, assessing and prioritizing feature and issues requests.
- Define, iterate, and operationalize key metrics that will help us achieve our product goals and allow the team to prioritize efforts.
- Exercise technical and product judgment to scope programs, manage schedules, and resolve program issues. Drive alignment across teams/organizations/product areas to reach consensus on product direction, north-star metrics, developing feasibility, etc.
