We are looking for a dynamic and flexible team member to provide support across Office Services, Barista, and Hospitality roles. This position requires adaptability, as responsibilities will shift based on team coverage needs, including vacations or absences. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent customer service skills and a collaborative mindset. The hours are 6:00am-3:00pm from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Support with Barista coverage as required by preparing and serving coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Collect, distribute, and process mail and packages across five floors.
- Coordinate outgoing courier requests and track incoming deliveries.
- Record and hand-deliver incoming cheques and security certificates.
- Maintain copy paper stock and ensure mailroom deadlines are met.
- Support reception by answering phones, greeting clients, and handling inquiries.
- Maintain and restock 12 kitchens to a high standard.
- Organize and order kitchen and hospitality supplies.
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and a variety of espresso-based drinks with professionalism.
- Operate and maintain commercial coffee machines, including troubleshooting issues and scheduling repairs as needed.
- Ensure the barista area is fully stocked, clean, and ready for service.
- Provide excellent customer service while taking and fulfilling beverage orders.
- Set up, serve, and clean up boardrooms for catered meetings.
- Ensure the patio and lounge spaces are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
- Assist in coordinating and setting up events.
- Provide input on process improvements and special projects.
- Support team members across all Office Services functions as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a professional office environment, ideally in customer service, hospitality, or as a barista.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, including espresso-based drinks and machine operation.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain barista equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a polished, professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Initiative-driven with problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with local food safety regulations is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly, adapting to changing team needs.
