About the role

ATB's next EFS Process Redesign Advisor will be a catalyst within Everyday Financial Services (EFS), responsible for translating and supporting the execution of projects in service to the EFS strategy. You will lead a variety of projects and initiatives for EFS and will accelerate these with a thorough understanding of EFS’s processes and requirements, ensuring that the solutions create consistency, value and exceptional experiences for team members and clients through all delivery channels (Branch, Client Care, Entrepreneur, Agency, etc).

You are a quick learner, naturally curious and self motivated with a high degree of comfort working independently or within a group/horizontal environment to identify and pursue opportunities that will directly influence the growth and direction of EFS. You will collaborate with partners across ATB, utilizing a data-driven approach and exceptional critical thinking skills in order to identify opportunities and develop smart, simple and creative solutions. Understanding the connection and interdependencies of the work, down to the team member, channel and client and creating alignment within, will continuously drive development in this role, but also challenge you to learn through the work and pivot as required to ensure critical focus on the end result is achieved.

Accountabilities

You will be responsible for balancing individual work while ensuring EFS realizes the benefits needed to progress our business strategy. This role requires problem solving, expert translation skills, constructive collaboration, effective communication, and strong relationships among teams across the organization. Accountabilities include:

  • Represent EFS on initiatives/projects with a goal of driving consistency across all channels, influence change and achieve results that are aligned with EFS's strategic direction.
  • Perform current state analysis and research to identify pain points, gaps, and growth opportunities to improve the overall team member and client experience.
  • Prepare presentations, business cases for, and facilitate meetings to senior leadership.
  • Document and maintain processes, maps, user guides (ATB Knowledge), business cases and/or decision records.
  • Review, improve, support, eliminate and create new processes for the business that focus on digitization or eliminating friction.
  • Make data driven decisions in order to maintain the momentum of a project or to execute on a process change.
  • Leads initiatives through discovery through to execution including completion of change plans in service to the project or initiative.
  • Connect and collaborate with various groups to communicate, provide guidance, deliver internal training, gain support or influence decisions to implement processes and changes that improve team member and client experience.
  • Proactively report on completion of tasks, project status, and results to identify if project objectives are on track.

Skills, experience & requirements

As the ideal candidate, you possess:

  • 7+ years of project delivery experience, ideally within the financial service industry.
  • Relevant professional designation such as Business Analysis, Project Management, Six Sigma, Agile Methodology, Lean Methodology.
  • Strong analytical, strategic and critical thinking skills with the ability to think through, deliver and create exceptional, consistent, end-to-end client and team member experiences and solutions through a data driven digital approach.
  • Proficiency in the Google Suite including Gemini. Proficiency in the core systems and tools used by EFS an asset, such as Account Origination, SAP Portal, EVA, Genesys.
  • The ability to translate technical information into relevant and meaningful content for the business audience in order to effectively deliver content.
  • Strong business acumen that supports the strategic and financial goals of EFS and ATB.
  • Proven experience in delivering and executing high quality work on firm delivery timelines and the ability to quickly adapt to new challenges and continuous changes.
  • Expertise in communication and negotiation skills along with the ability to network and cultivate productive working relationships with ATB business partners.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, mentor others, and lead a group of peers while balancing multiple deliverables, initiatives and projects.
  • Desire to become an expert in the intricacies of end to end processes and how they relate and interconnect including any downstream impacts for each project/initiative in order to effectively represent and execute for EFS, to build effective working teams/horizontals to successfully deliver on mutual goals. Deep knowledge and understanding of EFS processes and in depth knowledge of key partner responsibilities and accountabilities would be an asset.
