We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Freight Forwarding Logistician with pricing experience to join our dynamic team in Saint John, NB. This position will be located at 300 Union St. with the primary focus on delivering superior value and performance to our customers. We Offer:

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day transportation needs of customer; optimizing efficiencies within their supply chain through both knowledge base and Transportation Management Software Tools.
• Develop proactive solutions to optimize supply chain and achieve cost-savings for customers.
• Drive business growth with existing customer and new customers.
• Anticipates business and industry trends to find ways for potential gain.
• Negotiate rates with carriers for various lanes and modes of transport (Air/Ocean/rail/road).
• Track/Trace and manage appointment requirements for customer shipments.
• Work closely with the customer, carriers, co-workers and third parties to ensure efficient operations and to meet required deadlines.
• On-call rotation required.
  
  

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an undergraduate degree. A major in Business Administration or Commerce would be considered an asset.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the transportation industry.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills (both verbal and written).
• Customer-focused attitude to execute on customer commitments and develop business with new customers.
• Organized, detail-oriented – excellent follow-up skills are essential.
• Problem Solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
